I have commuted with Supremes on my Hillborne for several years. They get
almost no flats, and are much much lighter than any other "flat-proof"
tire. The trade-offs are right for me, but I was on Marathon pluses before.
No time for flats.

About cutting "divots" in the fenders to fit between fork legs and stays:
This will, obviously, make the fenders at least slightly weaker and more
prone to flex. But are not the fenders supported largely by the stays? Or,
could one not reinforce the trimmed area with a metal bracket?
On Mon, Oct 2
Yes, you could easily mill away some cutouts so the fender fits around
narrow stays. SKS chromoplastics are very easy to cut with a roto-tool
like a dremel.
Cut slowly and carefully. Any cut you make creates a future weakness for
cracking, so keep your cutouts nice and round.
On Mon, Oct 26, 20
Sure. I'd start with a lighter reinforcement, like metallic tape (for
furnace ducts).
The rear of the fenders are well-supported by the stays, but the section
forward of the fork is only self-supported. If you tack it to the bottom
of a front rack it would be pretty secure.

I've used the Marathon Supremes for several years in both 35 & 40 mm size

reputation for durability. The best case was 11,000 miles on a front with
zero flats (knock wood; probably lotsa luck there). Typically only 1
