I just ran up2date to update to the latest errata fix. I got the below
warning.
Does this mean I need to replace the existing httpd.conf file with
httpd.conf.rpmnew ?
If so I assume I need to do some copy - paste from old to new to preserve my
old web server setup?

I am having problems with up2date hanging on my server, when i try to
up2date a package the package is downloaded and installed but up2date
freeze after the installation.

As an experiment I tried Synaptic to do both remove and reinstall. It

I checked it in redhat's bugzilla. It would appear that you need to have arts installed to run xmms. It's a bug in the code, since arts isn't a dependency of xmms.

could actually be "using" the disk to hold the transient downloaded data
WITHOUT an actual filename showing up in some directory.

I use
up2date -u --nox
everything is saved to /var/spool/up2date by default
last time I checked ver7.1 there was a status bar showing % completed in #'s
