You have been perfectly clear. As outlined in DSN_README, the RFC

There is a difference in MailScanner logging when a SUCCESS DSN is

Hi,
If I request a (success) DSN from my Postfix server, my server responds
as expected. Usually my mail server has to deliver the mail remotely and
I would like Postfix to request a DSN from the remote server as well if
the user asked for one. Is that possible?
Kind regards,
Erik.

Oh, yes, now I see it too. var_force_dsn_on_success is global per process?
My usecases never trigger that situation.

Hello,
DSN for successfully deliveries are not enabled by default. They have
to be requested
by an smtp client using extra parameter on RFC5321.MAILFROM an RFC5321.RCPTTO
But not every MUA has the ability to do this. Some years ago I had a
requirement to
force DSN on successfully

Hi!
I have an issue, we have DSN enabled by default on postfix, and it works
great, but we have an issue when sending multiple emails, its difficult to
see what email got deliver, so is there anyway to include the subject of
the original email in the DSN notifications ?

Postfix uses the standardized b
Postfix generates DSNs with the following header:
Content-Type: multipart/report; report-type=delivery-status;
boundary="XX"
Is there a way for DSNs to be text/plain formatted? Something like:
Content-Type: text/plain

Indeed I was only responding to the question of how to get error(8)

it is wise to route the mail in question to the erro

It sounds like at least in the case of "error" it is not.
I changed the value for virtual_transport to be:
error: 5.1.1 Mailbox unavailable
And now I see:
Oct 2 11:54:21 zre-ldap002 postfix/error[331]: 897561E37C6:
to=, relay=none, delay=0.06,
delays=0
