i want to sort a certain folder (the one for this mailing list, in fact!)
by thread. i'm trying this, but it doesn't work:
folder-hook =mutt set sort=thread
what am i doing wrong? i'm using mutt 1.2i.

hi cory-- all you need to do is hit 's', which is just like 'C' except it
deletes the message after copying it.

if you see the lowest "received" header, it says (from mugwort@localhost),
& later (envelope-from [EMAIL PROTECTED]). if i send a simil
s, ie mugwort@localhost. this makes the mailing list software
reject the message, since that address is not subscribed.

there's a tricky thing here, though. if a message exists on the desktop
machine, & not on the laptop, there are two possibilities. 1) you
downloaded it to the laptop & deleted it, or 2) it's new mail you've never
downloaded to laptop. this could be dealt with by keeping a record of when
syncs happ
have a solution for this though - need some way for mutt to just go
