I have always been able to download books from Bard and copy them to an SD
card.I can no longer do this. I press the past command and my mac bonks. I am
not an expert Mac user, but this seems like a rather simple thing. I have no
clue what I'm doing wrong.

Actually, what you can do is press VO J, and the message will be read. After
you have read the message, press Vo J to return to the message table.

table are you selecting the volume, or the disk? For example, the usual volume
