So you'll need to interact with the disk table first and pick which disk you want to work with. You want to pick the drive, not the partitions within a drive so when you pick it it should say something like "500MB BrandXYZ Media" if it doesn't say Media at the end then it's not the disk drive.

You can root around in the archives but the short version is that for many years the Mozilla team only supported the iAccessible2 API which is not available on the Mac since nobody has bothered porting it. Most Mac developers wouldn't bother with such a porting effort as the existing Apple API
