Dunno anything about this specific NAS but if you want to do backups to
the drive for two machines you'll need to partition it into two pieces
and backup one Mac to each partition. Time machine consumes all
available space on a partition so you can't just back up two machines to
a single drive even if it has lots of room. I suspect you'll have to do
this through whatever web interface they provide.

Hello All,
I've just purchased a Seagate Central HD. Thinking I'd be able to read up on
how to get started with it.
I can see where the power cord goes and the ethernet cable goes. But before I
plug it in, I want to understand how to configure it for time machine. The guy
in the shop said I don't need to worry about formatting it. As it is supposed
to work transparently. I thought that time machine is a stickler for it's
format. Furthermore, I have enough capacity for both my Mac Mini and my
MacBook. So I think I'll need to partition the drive.
Anyone have any experiences of these drives and can I partition it from disk
utility? It seams that the Seagate site have getting started videos but I can't
get them to play.
Any help and suggestions?
Thanks.
