So, are there any major problems with skype on the mac? I've thought about downloading it, but it works so well on my iPod, and I had so many frustrations with it on Windows, that I hesitate to waste the time. Is it inaccessible, or just harder than it should be, or do only some features not work?

I think so. I use the Refit boot loader (I may have that name wrong) to boot Mac OS and Windows. I don't see why I couldn't set up another partition, though. I'm sure google will have plenty of in-depth articles and tutorials about this. Note that you will need sighted help to set up some of this,
