Hey list, Something I've wondered for a long time but never bothered to check out is this. When reformatting a drive in OS X--sorry, macOS--Disk Utility shows me a table of disks. Most have two entries, one for the physical device and one for each volume on that device, I presume. I'm not even sure if that's correct. When reformatting, which do I choose? My mother has a 1TB NTFS drive that she wants me to reformat for use on a Mac. I've backed it up, and know to use the right file system and all that. What I'm wondering is which entry in the disks table to choose. Thanks.
