Well,
Here is a list from Newegg of 36 different external RAID enclosures compatible
with USB 3.x. Note, these are expensive and do not include drives (you will
have to purchase those separately)

I hate to dis-agree with your generally good advice, but there is an option

Thanks guys, you have taught me more about time machine. I think I saw it as a

Appreciate it,

Hi,
In fact, it is backup storage. The thing to note though is that it does the
work for you. Time Machine will automatically free up space from old backups
when it is getting low on space. It does the management itself. You are
perfectly welcome and able to get rid of old files if you wish

Hi,
To go back to the previous page, press cmd-left bracket, this is the key just
to the right of the "p" key. If you've interacted with the list of messages,
you can use either cmd-up or VO-FN-left.

Hi Terry, Ok here we go:

I doubt it was simple as Apple last year made it impossible to use a

work since the chime has now been out of service for two years.

Hi,
I did speak with an Apple SE and had our case posted in an internal group
mentioning the rationale for us, as blind users, needing this feature. I also
emphasized that it could be user configurable, if not easily, at least from the

Hello Folks,
I've been attempting to install windows 10 on my MBP mid 2014 model year

Here are the problems I'm having.
The first time I attempted to do this, I got a message that the install
couldn't be mounted because of not being able to format NTFS.
Then after restarting the machine

I can only answer your dropbox question. yes. dropbox is very accessible on the
Mac.
with the hard drives I think it depends on what kind they are whether or not
they'll work with a Mac. it doesn't matter what kind of files are on them. you

Yeah Microsoft also got rid of the start up tone for windows in the windows 10
releases.
I always enable it on my machines so I know what / when things start up.

If your attempt to install using Bootcamp fails, you need to use
Bootcamp again to delete your previous attempt before trying again. You
will always get this kind of error if you simply try to install again
without first clearing out whatever Bootcamp did on the attempt that

Good.
You may also need to clear all files off your USB stick. Worth a try.
PS: Are you sure you're correctly creating the file system on the USB
device? what files do you see on there?

first I format the USB drive as fat 32. No files on the desk.
Then I go through the Boot Camp process, at which point Boot Camp format the
USB drive. After the system fails and I look at the USB drive, it has a number
