That mailbox can appear and disappear so would it make a difference if you have
a drafted message in the box then tried to move it!

I decided to get the TrackPad with my iMac, but I'm sure the Magic Mouse will
work just the same. I suppose you'll just need to click and drag the mouse away
from your iMac instead of clicking and swiping on the TrackPad. Let us know if

There are several things that could cause this.
1. Though unlikely, you were pressing command+W instead of Command+Q to
quit Mail.
2. You closed Mail with several windows not just the main inbox window
opened.
3. You have a corrupted Apple Script, which is playing havoc.

I don't know if this is a voiceover issue, or a Mac issue that has nothing to
do with voiceover. However, I am able to crash numbers almost every time by
doing the following:
Number one put in some text.
Number to copy that text to the clipboard.
Number three using command and the accent
No. Best thing to do is turn off VoiceOver on the mac side for the app
to work properly. You do not need to assign shortcuts to menu commands
as QuickNav on the iOS side works properly providing VoiceOver on the
mac side is off.

Did you somehow turn down punctuation? Go to VO's settings, then double tap
rotor. Find punctuation in the list of rotor items and, if it is not already
selected, double tap it. Now rotor to punctuation and swipe up or down to
change the setting to whatever you want.

The styles menu doesn't work with vo. There is an element to the left of the
tule bar called drawer that you interact with. You will find of of the things
you need in there.
