Hi Jürgen, It shouldn't matter whether you're in Classic or the newer layout, and turning Cursor Tracking off tends not to work with the newer form of Drag & Drop. Some things to try that I've noticed:
• do not use Full-Screen mode. • If you exit Full-Screen mode after being in it, the Drag & Drop is still a crap-shoot. That is, for the most part, very unresponsive and frustrating. • After exiting Full-Screen, Quit the Mail app, then you can re-open it and it should behave nicely. • Sometimes you can turn off VO then turn it back on but the Quit/re-open Mail is much more reliable in getting the Drag & Drop to do what it is supposed to. I realize that in one of my original posts, I mentioned that Full-Screen mode was desirable, but I totally retract that assertion. Full-Screen mode will cause you much grief in this process. HTH.
