double tap home is to bring up the wallet. There is a setting in Settings
panel Wallet and Apple Pay to turn this function off, but then double tapping

Yes it worked but when i have done that i get another captcha wich is some sort
of puzzle with no audio challenge.
THe complete or create account button is grayed out.
I will try it with chrome to see if that would work a bit better than safari.

customer service and customer service found a flag on that person's account

I don't know what or why Apple made changes to the IMAP behaviour since
Mountain Lion. I am positive that Gmail IMAP is buggy and slow, irrespective
of client, but it is true that if you bugger about long and hard enough,
specially when you're on a slow connection and want to avoid the "All Mai

fix it in the next OS. I would switch to iCloud, but its not the easiest thing
to do when they don't make filtering mail an easy process.

I, too, am having no issues with my gmail on my Mac. Even back in the first
version of Mavericks, I only had very minor issues with gmail and mail on my
mac.
I'm puzzled as to why it works well for some and not hardly at all for others.

To be honest, the best advice we can give you is to switch to iCloud. No, this
is not a joke, sadly.
You can fiddle with Gmail to make it work, but the Mavericks-Gmail combination
is not at all pleasant.
