that has the files you want. Now that the foder is selected, select the

worked for me. I stopped upgrading at Yosemity and possibly that makes a
difference. I always used column mode browsing, and maybe it selects
folders in a specific way that vlc needs. You can also try command shift

It works great on the mac and I recently updated to the latest version.
Not sure why this is happening to you.
You may want to uninstall the application completely and reinstall it again to

"Open With" and under that is a popup where you can pick which player
you want to open that file. You can pick VLC and you're all set but
after that popup you'll also find a button that says Change All.

something called ogg drop which also turned out to be non mavericks compatible.
