When in the recovery mode there’s a table with several options.
One of them is Disk Utility.
Interact with that table and select disk utility.
Stop interacting and go to the continue button.
Now the disk utility will open and work as in normal mode.

Hoping someone can help. I can get the cheesy system voice when booting in

Hi, when I click the button to reinstall the OS, and when its not connected to
the net it will say can’t contact recovery survis.
To find the wifi network, all I hav to do is vo+m twice, then the network comes
up, enter my password, and off it goes.

cmd-r should start the internal HD's Recovery system and cmd-option-r for the
Internet Recovery. In both cases though, since you've already installed
10.14.4, it will want to download the latest Mojave, which is 10.14.4. You

I just wanted to see if I could boot up in the recovery mode on my MacMini.
So, I’m using a USB wireless keyboard.
I’ve shut down the Mac, held down CMD+R, then started up the mac.
It doesn’t want to boot in that mode.

Yesterday, while rock climbing, my iPhone 5, in my pocket, got put into
recovery mode. I discovered it when we got home, and went through the steps
and successfully restored it from the latest Icloud backup. Got all my apps
back, Voiceover the way I wanted, home screen set up in the folder

You are right. It does appear that VO can't find the WiFi networks menu. A
couple of things to note:
1. If you usually are connected to your WiFi network, it should automatically
connect when in Recovery mode.
2. You can confirm this in Terminal when in Recovery mode by:

reinstalling your HD so this may be moot. When in Recovery mode, did you
attempt to Quit the Recovery app? When you do this, it should ask you to pick
a Startup Disk. If your Startup Disk is fine, it will

Hi everyone, I want to completely reinstall lion on my macbook air that came
preinstalled with it. I turned off disk encryption and was able to open the
recovery partition while booting by pressing command+r. The help document
states though that, ifyou want to reinstall, you have to be connected
OK, so i had to force quit itunes during the software update and my
iphone is now in recovery mode. am I going to need to take it to apple
or could I find some eyes to do this in my house? unsure why the
section doesn't show up in the iphone
