OK, if you try to copy from LyX1.3.6 to 1.4pre3 on Mac you get the
same problem with messed up equations and line breaks (I don't think
it is possible to start two parallel instances of 1.4pre3 on Mac, at
least I don't know how to).

More of a wild shot: Have you tried the Windows version of "sudo
texhash" (as it is in the *nix/Mac version)

The same thing happened to me yesterday using BibTeX (through
BibDesk). It turned out to simply be that LyX had (for some reason)
lost the path to the library. Simply re-including the library solved it.

You can also check the LaTeXConfig.lyx-file in Application Support/

get any clues from there. This should (hopefully) fix it if its a

are reporting, whereas the snapshots simply won't compile. The latter
two I hope will be fixed by Trolltech (although I haven't had time to
file a bug report. Has anyone done that). The former could perhaps be
related to how LyX searches for the QT-installation (i.e. the search
criterion). But I don't know where in the set-up files this
identification is done. Does anyone have any ideas?
