Thanks Bennett!
I will try to make the final part of the guide this weekend (plenty
to do both at work and at home right now). What I feel is currently
missing is info on how to add templates (which is covered in the
wiki, but should be in the same place w. pictures) and adding
spellchecking support. After that I think any Mac user should be
fairly ready to start using LyX by all the good (cross-platform)
Tutorials that are available. If you think there is anything else Mac-
specific (and basic) I have missed, please let me know.

Thanks Christian,
I will try to upload the pictures and add additional material
(you're right, the example files could be good). I will also try
to continue with instruction on how to add templates, etc.
Unfortunately I'm locked up until the end of next week, so it may
take some time.
I've done a bit of wiki-fying of the page, mostly to use local
image files, and I've given it a permanent home here: <http://
wiki.lyx.org/Mac/Walkthrough>.
(I have also rewritten the <http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/LyXOnMac> page
in preparation for 1.4.0, in part linking to this installation
walkthrough; I'll upload the revisions when 1.4.0 comes out.)
Thanks again, Anders, for your efforts here!
