Solved, Lyx on Windows opens with 18th Century screenfonts both for serif and
sans.
Setting to Times New Roman ands Arial is all right.
Should not this be the default on the Win port ?

I noticed some files were missing from the updated config
Anyway here's my fix (assuming /sw is your fink installation directory):
Install tetex, ghostscript etc. with fink if you haven't already
Install LyX
run the Installer script

I tried to configure lyx and I got this problem, as in the README file
here is a very nasty bug in LyX 1.2.2 configure script: if you
configure as root and an error occurs during the configure step
(e.g. xforms not found), the the script will delete the /dev/null
device. This undoubtly leads to
