By "It prompts me" you mean "MikTeX prompts me", right? You're using MikTeX's minimmal installation option where it gets stuff it needs from an internet repository as it needs it. Unfortunately, you haven't given MiKTeX sufficient privileges to write to C:\MikTeX as a non-Administrator. Work around: repeat the exercise above, but as Administrator. Fix: fix your MikTeX installation. -- Angus
