Hi,
The plan: checkout LyX from CVS, download the cygwin Qt-port (
http://kde-cygwin.sourceforge.net/ ) and compile LyX with a Qt-frontend.
Granted, I would still need an X-server, but I have that always running
anyway so I don't care.
I checked out lyx-devel from cvs yesterday. First I wanted
Hi,
I make two LyX-files, called delme1 and delme2. In delme2, the file delme1
is "include"-ed. In file delme1, a single line is centered with
Layout->Paragraph->Center. In file delme2, after the include, a line is
placed which should be typeset as block. Instead it is centered.
Actually, I e
Hi,
I use LyX 1.1.6fix3 under Windows. I have it installed both at work and at
home, so I can work on my thesis in both places. The following has
happened: I send a lyx-file to home, where it will look fine. I edit it,
and send it back. At work, everything looks fine, except for the tables. I
Hi,
I recently tried to update from 1.0.4 to 1.1.6fix1, using Cygwin on Windows

did not have when I was still using 1.0.4.
Firstly, I am not able to use bibtex anymore. Latex is called correctly

Hi,
if I load a document and try to delete every space by doing a replace which
searchs for a space and replaces it with nothing, LyX goes into an infinite
loop replacing the same space.
I hope this is not a known bug. I use v1.0.1.

Hi,
I am trying to get support for other languages working under Cygwin on
Windows NT. Unfortunately, I'm stuck. If I do 'export LANG=nl' and then
'./lyx' in the bin directory of the installed LyX, LyX just hangs and I see
nothing. If, on the other hand, I do 'export LANG=' or 'export LANG=en',

Hi,
is there already any consencus about which toolkits will be used for the
userinterface? I know someone offered to do Gtk, but this does not seem to
be a cross-platform toolkit. Is the question still open about which toolkit
(which contains Windows support) to use?

I've got access to a Sun, so I should be able to do that. I guess I need to
do 'make bindist' and then upload the resulting file to /bin/1.0.

Hi,
regarding my previous post, in which I said that LyX 1.0.0 crashed when I
ran it: it now works find, since I got the bright idea to remove #define
XOPENIM from config.h.
The configure script should take care of this, I guess. You can do 'uname
-a' and then you'll get 'CYGWIN_NT-4.0 PETTEN 2

Hi,
LyX also works under Windows 95 (to the extent that one can call a program
to 'work' under that OS). I found out that the X-server I advocated (MI/X)
doesn't work. The X-server from Starnet does work however, and is much
nicer anyway.

Hi,
if I use the spellchecker (ispell, pre6) it skips the text in footnotes
which are collapsed. Is this correct behaviour? Also, shouldn't it be
possible to keep the cursor fixed and check the whole document (avoid
placing the cursor at the start I mean).

Hi all,
I have some good news which you might like to hear. I got around to trying
to port LyX (pre 6) to WinNT using the latest Cygwin library. The previous
library was pretty bothersome. I was able to configure and compile LyX
without ANY change to LyX sourcefiles or the configuration script th

Hi,
When I resize my window when it is overlapped by another window, LyX fouls
up the contents of the window. Since I use a somewhat unusual port (I
ported LyX to Windows NT using the Cygwin library), I would like to know if
others have the same problem.
Try the following:
1) Start LyX and open
