In lib/scripts, the execution bit is set in CVS for "listerrors" (python
script) and TeXFiles.sh (Bourne shell script). For all other scripts in
lib/scripts the x-bit is not set.
I think the this needs to be set in CVS for all scripts (don't know
actually if it's really needed for the python

I was REALLY happy when I saw that we could use footbib with lyx starting
version 1.2.1 (urls is : http://www.lyx.org/help/bibtex/footbib.php)
So I upgraded to this version and tryed this wonderfull feature. It doesn't

This is not the cause of the crash.
Lyx does keep crashing on me when I try to open a file dialog, but setting an
alias is not the cause.
