John,
Could the attached patch solve the problem to at least compile the present qt2 parts?
(It does on my FreeBSD PC).

Please use this patch instead of the previous one, to include the -version info.
(I had to modified configure.in a bit more)

in a displayed formula a fraction should be in displaystyle,
but it's in scriptstyle in dvi output. on screen the

Hi,
I have patched CVS with a "-version" commandline argument, useful to
accompany bugreports (patch attached).
With this patch "lyx -version" (or "lyx --version") outputs
in my case with qt2:
===
LyX 1.2.0cvs of Thu, Jan 11, 200
That's what I see in Layout->Document->Paper
Also the S is cutoff a bit on Special
100dpi font.
This is not very new because it is on Alice's machine also, which is a
pre math cleanup CVS.

Hi Jean Marc,
I have seen that you removed a lot of "Latex" entries in the layout files.
I started a global "grep" on the whole lyx-devel tree. AFAICS the
following files need to be updated as well:
./lib/layouts/manpage.layout
./lib/layouts/db_lyxmacros.inc
./lib/layouts/db_stdlayouts.inc

Well, that's what I did first (starting at 15 because
- Minibuffer message is duplicated:
"LaTeX run number 2 (message LaTeX run number 2)"
This occurs because we try and post the LFUN name of each action to the
minibuffer too. Useful if you want to learn how to perform am action using
"M-x lfun_name xyz"

Are there rules where to put them in the .C files?

Hi,
thanks for fixing the alignment of "Language:" in the character dialog!
However, I noticed that the border of the dialog is not shown correctly
at the height of "Language:". I suspected that the box has been specified
incorrectly (too much to the left) and had a short look at

No. What we need is a mechanism that allows to specify that a document is
a part of a larger document, so when you insert a citation in the former,
you get the keys of the latter.

The following patch adds a buffer button to FormRef which allows the user
to show the labels of any open buffer.
Is this a good idea ?
Can I apply this patch (it doesn't change the kernel).
