I was thinking of an easy way to migrate LyX data into a more
LyX-specific XML flavour that allows for easier integration of
LaTeX-specific features into the XML that DocBook does. That way, one
could have an XML-based file format for LyX that incorporates some of
the power of LaTeX without having to go all the way to DocBook. A bit
more LyX-specific as a file format, but probably easier to integrate
with LyX.
