and to adjust it, I need a special software called "CustoMax".
This "CustoMax" software is ofcourse windows/mac only.
is there a way to adjust the screen without this software?
Is there an equivalent software for linux?

I had crashes in gdb and in ups (gui debugger not using gdb as backend).
That makes me suspect that it is some kind of compatibility problem.

I succeeded in solving the problem today, using a slightly modified version
of Isaac Aaron's script. Here is a summary of the problem and the solution:
