Sorry, I did not realize that I should have kept the names private. Is
there a way to delete my posting about the Guatemalan family? Then I could
rewrite it with no names.

It is rare to see motorists stopping and waiting at the 5-way crossing at
Weston Road, Trapelo Road, Bedford Road, and Sandy Pond Road; in my experience
many simply plough through without waiting as the law requires. And as a
motorist I find it difficult to know how to cope with cyclists riding

I take the fact that drivers are asking cyclists om Lincoln Talk to wear
bright clothing when they themselves can't see while driving a car due to
being blinded by the sun as an insult. Seriously.

Should cars follow the same rational?
Are these laws discretionary?

I find all discussions pertaining to bicycles very interesting because the
technology of the "bicycle" is changing so fast. e-Bikes are going to
force a review of many laws. They can move so fast in silence that running
a stop sign or traveling on a trail is very different when you can do it at

Thank you, John, for your response and link, explaining the reason for bikes

Amen!
I am regularly traveling along Weston Rd. and have NEVER seen a cyclist stop at
the STOP signs at the intersection of Silver Hill and Weston…or, at Conant Rd.,
for that matter.
They fly through the corners!
This is extremely dangerous.
I am NOT speeding or checking my phone (that comment w

All good reminders! Car drivers and cyclist, please obey STOP signs
especially on corners where leaves will soon be piling up and are slick when
wet. That is a recipe for disaster.
Thank you,

Oh and I forgot one thing. It is generally a good idea to drive sober. As
a cyclist, the number of times I am passed by a car with the smell of
marijuana emanating from the vehicle along with bottles of empty Fireball
strewn along our roadways is just a bit unnerving.

Yes and drivers, please consider driving the speed limit and getting off
your phone this time of year. It is especially dangerous to have sun in
your eyes while speeding and checking Instagram!
