There is nothing about the Metronome Mark in the Changing Defaults chapter. I have already ready the documentation. I figured out how to move it up or down, but not left or right. In general, I think it would look better over the time signature instead of over the first note. Stephen

command line misbehavior of Lilypond 2.8.4 on XP

I have experimented since I first brought up this problem, by installing both Lilypond 2.9.8 and 2.8.3 which both work in the cmd.exe box. So, I don't know why, but I think something is wrong with Lilypond 2.8.4. Doesn't anybody else have this problem?
