Hi Guys.
Whatever you decide to use for a canopy latch please ensure it latches
positively and it is easily verifiable that it is latched!
If that forward hinging canopy unlatches in flight it will pop up to around
20-25 deg, there is a LOT of suction on it. Not only is it noisy and

Michael,
Happy New Year and a Belated Merry Christmas! Don Reid's canopy latches
for his front-hinged canopy look like they do the job you need though
they aren't exactly what you describe. Pretty light, though.

I trust you all had an awesome and blessed Christmas and I wish you a
fantastic 2021.
I have almost finished the KR2 fibreglass seats which I chose so I could

I have a very similar canopy and if for any reason I had to re-build it, it
would be converted to a forward tilt, for many reasons. The turtle deck would
remain the same. My method is very similar to Larry's, after all, he did it
first, so I had something to go by.

Ben,
Perhaps the easier solution could be to "lower the river instead of raising
the bridge".
To the point: How high is the seat bottom from the fuselage floor? You
might be able to get some room by lowering the seat.

Hi Ben,
I you've got the original side hinge type of canopy,I would change it to
the forward hinge -follow the Guru and friend- who is in the process and
posts pictures-
Mark Langford ((n56ml) .
There have been 2 near fatalities that I know of due to side hinged
canopies opening in flight (one in
l fear and or
doubt or mistrust in the many aircraft using side opening.

G?day All ? As a first time user of this page and a new owner of a KR2
(purchased eight months ago) and having flown some five hours in my retractable

Hi Knetters,
A couple of people have expressed an interest in the Dragonfly canopy fitting a
standard KR2, so i took a couple more photos in the daylight so It might be
easier to see.> > Well. I did it. I cut up that expensive Dragonfly canopy.
