On the contrary. These legs cut easily on a table saw. Use a 60 tooth blade.

Mine measure right at .850" thick but they have one layer of glass cloth
wrapped around them as instructed in the instruction sheet that comes with them.

Actually it is two brackets. Grove does not sell them. You need to
make your own. I can send pictures of the brackets on the one I have
for sale if anyone wants them. Mine were welded then heat treated.

Compared to the Diehl, and I have had both, it is much easier to install and
to inspect. If you get it gun drilled, brake lines are much easier. There
is no fiberglass work to be done other than to fair in the gear on the
bottom of the fuselage.

Just looked it up. 3/4" thick and weighs 21.6 # This is for the single
piece, which is the one I would recommend if you are going to use the grove.
Also, get it gun drilled. You will be glad you did.

3/4" sound plenty thick to me. I'm thinking my Diehl 30 inch legs

much stiffer. ( I'm guessing) Anyone using the Grove gear? How thick is it?

Thank you, Larry and Tony--
Tony--thank you very much for sending that helpful material. I'm
surprised at how close to the Diehl gear width dimensions I came (3" at
bottom, 4.25" at widest, 2" plus at top).
With my taller spars I couldn't use the Diehl bracket. Since I couldn't
use that, it

Hello All,
I found a lot of Diehl gear posts in the archives, but none with the
width dimensions of the legs.
If someone has those, or could measure them, I'd appreciate it!

Are there any issues with this, besides 'measure twice, drill once'?
I know the 'design' specifies that they go right next to the body of the

avoid it

Yes, the one piece Grove does come out under the fuselage, but it uses 3
gear mount brackets and they are not from the original retract. I had one
on my first KR2.

I have the tricycle Diehl landing gear AND Tracy O?Brian C-90 brakes, Cessna
style axles, TriStar 5? wheels (3) and Shen tires.
These are all in new condition. The current retail for these is in excess of
$2000.00. I would entertain offers
in the $1600.00 range OBO.

I haven't seen the web page but I believe the legs he sells now are
24 inches
Net heads,
Someone asked about the Diehl Gear,
There was a reply about the size/length 24" & 30". What does this length
apply to. ?
Thanks

Length of the gear leg, end to end, no fittings.

All,
Thanks for the reply. My gear measures 23 1/4" so I guess it is the
latest configuration. I will work forward from there. As to the landing
accident, I have been bucked off a horse while gathering cattle and can
relate to "getting back on the horse"! I have also, as a low time pilot,
