Those are probably legs from an American Yankee. They are slightly thicker, longer, and wider. All that is good for the price. Don't start cutting on them just yet. You will want to trim them down at some point, after you determine the length, among other things. My Diehl legs are 6 inches longer than standard (30 inches) and I added approx 1/8 inch of glass to make them thicker plus contoured foam on the lead and trail edge for aerodynamics. Don't worry about them being thicker, you can scale them down in width to get the right strength. If you plan on tricycle gear you may want to go with the standard (24 inch) length so it will match up with standard nose gear. If you go with a tail dragger, you will probably want to go with a 28 to 30 inch leg. You'll want to get a templet from someone with the shape of the "Diehl" leg if you intend to use the same upper fitting and geometry as the Diehl setup (which I would recommend). Wait to figure some things out before you start making "glass dust". We'll talk. Stop by and look at mine again............ Larry Flesner
