Since I had fiberglass legs arready but did not have brackets, I went ahead
and made mine out of 1/4" steel.  I followed the basic design of Deihl.
After welding them I put a couple lightening holes in them.  I believe they
weigh a little less than a pound each finished.  They are strong.  The
aluminum ones may weigh close to the same since they are thicker.  They have
NOT been flight tested yet but seem a little overbuilt for the plane.  Just
what I want.  I can sent you photos if you want.    Bill
