That will be fine. You will actually wind up with a stronger spar that

Happy to report that I am now the new owner of a Mustang 2!!!
In KR related news that means the bad news is that I might not finish my

The even better news is that I might start using my free time to start

I think I have removed three sets now. One plane had the wings open at
the ends of the stubs so I was able to remove the spring bar by just
unbolting everything and pulling it out the end in one piece. The other
two had plywood or glass covering the ends of the stubs so I cut the bar

My cable was fairly short since I had the linear gear rack to rotary
contraption mounted on the back side of the firewall. My cable was
somewhere around a foot or so long IIRC and had no issues with flex or
leaking.

I had one on a GP 2180. The Zenith's have a mixture control, but they
use a needle valve that screws in and out. I used a Dremmel flex shaft
to a pinion gear inside a machined block with a rack gear connected to a
regular push pull mixture control knob and it worked beautifully.

So who was it that I saw two Saturdays ago with the trailer pulling a KR
project on I-95 going north in the Daytona Beach area? Do we have a new

Yesterday was a very special day. I took my 2S project down from
hanging from the rafters in my garage where it has been for the last
three or four years. It is now sitting ready for the move to its new
hanger where my wife and I will finish building it into our dream plane.

Only 3,000 RPM? I seem to recall that mine was 3,200. When I changed
to the new Sterba prop I believe it increased to 3,400. I vaguely seem
to remember a 10MPH or so speed increase, but what I can't forget is the
dramatic increase in climb rate.

Actually it is two brackets. Grove does not sell them. You need to
make your own. I can send pictures of the brackets on the one I have
for sale if anyone wants them. Mine were welded then heat treated.

I know someone that got into a spin after a botched loop. He said that
it would not recover until he grabbed the bottom of the instrument panel
and pulled himself as far forward as he could go. That story makes me a
bit leary of trying a spin in a KR.

I used a mixture meter on my KR and loved it. The sensor I used was the

just a standard automotive sensor. They make heated and unheated
sensors. The heated ones have four wires and preheat so they work
sooner. That is not a
