After mulling over all the input (thanks) I decided to test it so I got the
KR off the bench again and fitted the canopy and seat. I stood behind the
left hand stub wing and had no real issue with swinging a leg in and then
getting out again so I decided to continue building without a wing walk.

reserve a year (or more) in advance. You can still go, fly in, but expect to
fly out... contact them, they like home built planes, after all; that's what

Last year we had six KR's at Airventure. Did you not see them? Five of us
flew in together and another showed up later. We all camped out right there
on the EAA grounds. It is never too late if you really want to go.

I must admit that last year I was a member of the "dark-side" as I was
looking at GlasAir's, Lancair's, and RV's... sorry, didn't notice the KR's.
Also, I was only there on the last Saturday. I had to "fly" a '96 Firebird
at 2000 rpm (78 mph) on the ground [no less] to get there [it took 2 1/2
hour
The only reason I can see for staying at a hotel instead of camping at
Oshkosh, the gathering, or Sun and Fun is if you have to take your wife to
be allowed to go and she refuses to camp.

four squares of 1/4'' ply all the same size. I marked out the turtledeck

My TKM MX11 has dramatic noise that I hear through the headset when

used for the drawings, however in looking at the plans, they do not give a
+/- tolerance to go with. I have been a Mechanical Drafter for 17 years, and
have never seen a drawing without a standard tolerance block on it. My

I forgot the piper 180 that took 2 hours to climb to 8k feet in the
downhill (read downwind) side of a mountain range.
I have never gotten anything naturally aspirated to 10k. Perhaps
I did not have the time to wait (or the distance)..

Question.
Does the facet fuel pump stop making a noise when the carbie bowls are full?
My pump primes all the system, then quiets down, but never strops making a
noise when the engine is NOT running???
I thought most Elect pumps stop pumping when fuel is not required?

On the down wind side of the mountain you will have very strong headwinds
because the air is accelerated to very much higher as it rises(Bernoulli
Effect) and then will take a while to slow down as the ground falls away all
