A big THANK YOU to Pete and Ron and all the members of EAA Ch. 82
for their wonderful hospitality and generosity at the fly-in at Barber Field
at Alliance, Oh.
477 miles straight line with detour for fuel going over. Flight time was
3 hours 20 minutes with tailwind. Awesome breakfast, great weather,
barley water in the evening, another good meal, hotel room, another
good breakfast, formation with Mark Langford for two hours on the
return, stopped in for a milk shake at a small grass strip with lots
of neat airplanes, another stop at the local "drop zone" on the way
home to see some skydiving buddies, and did I mention the tailwind
on the return flight. Well over 1000 miles with 8.1 on the hour meter
with all the messing around. All in all a YEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAA
weekend.
