Hi all, I was going to be smart, and find the standard tolerance that they used for the drawings, however in looking at the plans, they do not give a +/- tolerance to go with. I have been a Mechanical Drafter for 17 years, and have never seen a drawing without a standard tolerance block on it. My standard tolerances for 2 place or fractional at work is .0625 or 1/16th, however that is on a door. Fractional tolerances I have seen up as high as 1/8th inch, depending on the equipment it is being used on. The thing you want remember is to get it as close as you can to what they list on the drawings. There is no such thing as a perfect assembly. There will always be some variance. However, you have to ask yourself, what is this part going to do, is it moving or mating? If not, then you can probably get by w/ 1/8th inch tolerance, +/-. On the fuselage, I would get it as close to the listed # as possible, and glue it up and move on. Have a good one.
