I too have had the misfortune of dealing with DishNet.
I agree with all that Amit says.
I would like to inform the list that the USB modem that
is supplied by DishNet has NO linux support. It is a
Centillium USB modem. As of a couple of months ago,
www.centillium.com had no Linux driver
