Yes, that makes sense. I did some more digging around, and not all my
custom column widths were changed, just those for any of the accounts that

I was under the impression that the translations for obsolete strings
were kept with a ~-prefix, in which case
g freeze for a while, but there have been
several small string changes. When can we expect to see 2.3.16 at the
Translation Project to dot the remaining i's and cross the final t's?

I'd like a timely 2.3.15 release because it allows the last strings that
changed during the 2.3.14 "string freeze" to be translated through the
Translation Project before the stable 2.4.0 release hits the street.

Attached is a patch which updates the python bindings example scripts to
use Transaction.BeginEdit() and Transaction.CommitEdit(). Doing so
allows these examples scripts to run without a bunch of warnings to
stderr from GnuCash as they did before.

Ooops, it had one error in it. I made the mistake of testing, making one
small "harmless" documentation change, and generating the patch

gone. I also had some stack overflow problems that I used to compensate
for by doing my "from gnucash import" inside of functions instead of top
of file. No longer need to do that myself.

It shows all sales from stock accounts, using lot allocation to match
sales with purchases and determine gain/loss and holding period.

Everything compiled fine, was able to load my data into the db. Now I
try to use python, but I'm not sure what to set my PYTHONPATH to.
The installation location is determined by automake macros, as it
depends on your platform, python, and choice of --prefix.

and my libdbdpgsql.so is built against the correct version of PostgreSql
- it's linked to the install directory of the version actually running.

Andi, thank you. I have downloaded the new version and it installed and
ran correctly (other than the previous issue with QT and AqBanking).
