Colleen,
Glad to see another Fedora user see the light! Here's the scoop... you
haven't botched anything you just need to configure your X server. In
theory it is very easy to configure your X server all you need to do is
run "Xorg --configure" as root then copy the xorg config file from
/root/xorg

Has anyone managed to get monodevelop without mozilla ?
Thanks,

Monodevelop depends on gecko-sharp which depends on mozilla. Perhaps the
Nope its required to run monodevelop (if you unemerge it you break monodevelop, just tried it).

Hi all,
I'm looking to use Veritas BackupEXEC 10 on several of my servers, and
would like to know if anyone knows how to get a backup exec agent to
work properly with gentoo. It seems a simple enough question, but I've
found nothing useful through the documentation, and their support folks
do
As my old high school CS teacher used to say, error due to "User
Headspace Misalignment."
I don't know what led me to enable it without enabling any drivers for
it, but that was my problem. Thanks for the help.

I just started working on a glib/gtk application. I have glib-2.6.4
and gtk-2.6.7 installed (plus glib and gtk versions 1.2.something).
For some reason, whenever I run 'gtk-config --version' (or the glib
the equivalent), it returns version 1.2.something.
Likewise, if I use the "--libs" and/or "
Bob,
I2C is not a prerequisite of running X he just needs to configure the X
server and it should work. I have run into this before and solved it
without building I2C into the kernel (or as a module). All I forgot to
do was configure X.

You could hack the ebuild which is a good idea or you can just emerge
mozilla and ignore it. I emerged with moznomail moznoirc and
moznocompose to leave off some of the excess and I just leave it be.

Indeed... that was what I needed every time. Try Bob's trick. I don't
run craptel hardware (been burned too many times) so perhaps I2C IS
required for their junk. Try to reconfigure the kernel per Bob's
directions and see if that fixes things.
