Attached a patch against /webwml/english/volatile/index.wml , I don't
have the www cvs tree right now so I can't test the correctness.
Thanks.

I hope this map can replace the current one in the future, after all
the bugs are flushed out.
I'd also like developer names to be shown for the markers too, but
people will start to think about the privacy issues... and currently
db.debian.org doesn't report developers' coord

The debian-based RAYS LX is not dead, rather its URL was just
outdated. I've corrected the problem in the attached patch. Feel free
to apply.
I've also fixed some format mismatch to make the page looks more consistent.

output news from the previous year if there are fewer than 10 news in

news in the current year.

Although this DWN is nearly 3 weeks ago, I've finally finished it,

Hi,
In the CSS for Chinese pages, texts within tags have a
background of yellow. After consulted a few Chinese users, we all
think that the background colour should better be removed. Patch is

HTMLs of using autogb and iconv, and iconv does the job perfectly, it
will even terminate when there's something wrong during the encoding
conversion, while autogb does not. This helps translators to spot
what's wrong in their files.

Hi,
The 2nd paragraph of the "About Debian" says "Debian 4.0 is another
important step in that

The page http://www.debian.org/vote/2006/vote_001 contains a link to
vote_001.quorum.log, which is a typo, the filename should be

As you mentioned that executing /usr/bin/autogb is okay, could you
1. print the exit code of autogb by typing "echo $?" after running autogb
2. will it be tocn.pl that is the culprit? because it is the third command between the two echo statements in Make.lang.

Hi Jutta,
According to what you describe, I think your change is fine and
shouldn't lead to any error. Can you paste the full screen output of the
building of the Chinese page after you have made the change to
Make.lang? Since I don't have access to a

My friend actually got the debian logo on his Nokia mobile phone.

This sounds like a good idea. (I hope all browsers can support the
"numeric character reference" in the future)

Not really the same. I think we can use "Fanti Zhongwen" for the
tradtional chinese (Big5) pages and "Jianti Zhongwen" for the
simplified chiense (GB) pages.

UTF-8 is good, but AFAIK we can't mix 2 encodings in one page. Unless
we convert all WML files to use UTF-8 it doesn't help.

A friend of mine has set up an Incoming mirror, should I just
add the URL to devel/incoming_mirrors.wml myself?
The site is ftp://niet.webforce.com.hk/debian-incoming/

I think it is necessary to define tags for the words 'Package', 'Version',
'Status' and 'URL' in english/y2k/*.data so we can have these words in

and am going to translate them into Chinese. The problem is,
there are 2 different sets of Chinese characters: traditional

the latter is used in mainland China
