hey all,
noticed today that yahoo has again switched protocols, making it
impossible to connect from gaim. the quick fix suggested on /. [1] --
switching to scs.yahoo.com from scs.msg.yahoo.com -- doesn't work for
me, as pointed out in the threads below, as i'm running Gaim, not
trillian.

I have installed 3.0R2. It installed kernel 2.2 instead of 2.4. Now, how can I use apt

I have seen this error when in-compatible/correct options
chosen during config. So, bite the bullet and redo the

I agree. If you look hard enough you can usually find Tux stickers on
eBay, so maybe I'll focus more on the metallic "Powered by..."
stickers.
I've got a few graphic designer friends I could probably convince into
designing something for me.
Can we get votes on what the "Powerd by..." line should

Apparently I didn't cc the group. Thanks for all the messages. IN
desparation, I did a dist-upgrade. After that the kernel loaded without
incident. I hadn't upgraded for about two years (it's a node on a
cluster).
Thanks again.

A couple of ideas...
1. Powered by: Swirlies! (with the standard debian swirl logo)
2. Super Cow Powered (with the apt-get cow)

As far as I am aware, the fact that you can see the directory structure
tells me that you've burned the CD as a bootable image. When I accidentally
burned a non-bootable image, all I could see was one big .iso file. I wasn't
using Roxio, but Nero 6. You can get free versions off the web, but they m

followed by 'apt-get update' etc.
This seems to solve all issues, at least now I'm happily
continuing the installation.
To whomever it concerns: this should be added to the documentatio
