Hello,
I have installed Debian on my G3 Powerbook's 4 gig expansion bay hard

the m68k port on my Mac IIci)
I installed Debian over the net, and everything seemed to go find. The
installer identified my partitions as /dev/hdc6,

Yes, you were right. Thanks.
Is there a way to make the trackpad not respond to a tap as a click?

the only difference in $PATH between root and my user acct is paths to

set the $PATH permanently (if that's the issue)?

I can't figure out which file in /etc/rcS.d to put 'trackpad notap' in.

I was trying their 30 day trial. The free services I've found so far don't

I guess I'll start over.
Thanks.
Josh.
Ok, maybe this is the deal. I think I put '2.2.16' in the EXTRAVERSION field
in the
Makefile. Would that add the extra 2.2.16?
I didn't name anything else like that.
Can I just take it out of the Makefile?

rpm, so its not a debian package? or is it on the debian ftp site?
I removed EXTRAVERSION field (blank)
I removed usr/include links (asm,linux,scsi)
Apparently I have the latest version of libc6-dev
I rebooted
uname -a still gives me version 2.2.162.2.16
Should I manually change /lib/modules/2.2.162.2.16 to 2.2.16?
Or should I just re-compile the kernel?
And
Cool, I'll try this. Is there a reason for not doing the whole thing as

n't fix this
since those options don't symlink the kernel image but still create
symlinks for the configs (and System.maps?). So I can't install kernels
the Debian way, but I can build kernel-image packages the Debian way and
then do violence to them by just extracting the files by hand.
