Hi,
To analyse your problem it would be helpful if you post your XF86config-4.
For hardware acceleration, you need DRM support in the kernel, which
is provided by agpgart, uninorth-agp and radeon.

Which packages exactly? I have tried with:
apt-get remove --purge xserver-xfree86
rm -rf /etc/X11
(that removes x-window-system x-window-system-core xserver-xfree86 and
xserver-xfr
:) The dri-trunk-sid
packages are basically a DRI CVS snapshot with some bits merged from
XFree86 CVS, but it's possible that the fix in question isn't in either
yet.

Greetings all.
I'm trying to get XFree86 (4.1.0.1) to work with my Apple monitor, which
is a Macintosh 16" Color Display. I just installed Debian 3.0 PPC on a
PowerMac 7200/75 with the standard built-in video only, w/ 1MB of VRAM.
It boots using quik.
The monitor is a fixed-fre

I'm interested about the patch, too. (particularly if it fixes iBook

Hello !
I have tried the XFree86 4.3.0-2 from unstable with my iBook 700. It
works fine until I tried some dual head setup. First, it clones
automagically the display, but the chosen frequency is very low and my
external LCD screen displays a distorted image. The console is then
'ing ben's sources. This

I have a running kernel 2.4.24 with patches from benh. It crashes
during boot unless I use the video=ofonly option.
I currently use XFree86 version 4.3.0.
It gives me a black screen on nothing else. All I can do is
hitting ctrl-alt-backspace to shut it down. (Note

I don't think so.

I still don't see the point in doing
