i have been given several old, worn out computers, i had no budget, but somehow i got the parts.
this doesn't need much. i have 603 runs sarge and etch both fine with 80MB RAM. it doesn't need 512, the usb, all that stuff. i pick up ram sticks 64MB for like $10. it takes a little more finding for the older ones, but new stuff is very expensive... another possibility is to get an older version of linux. i had mklinux going for a while there i could run kde fine on 32MB.
