non-free is correct - the drivers are based on example code from Apple
licensed under the APSL. It's mol-drivers-macos, without the x, that
is in contrib, because the code itself is free but requires non-

Do you have 'non-free' in your sources.list along with 'main'? You have
to have it, because the MacOS X support code contains a modified BootX
binary.

Anyone using mol on 2.6.6 to load OSX? I'm having problems.

Anyone know what config file I have to tweak to fix this?
I'm guessing you're running it in X, using 16bpp depth? Unfortunately,
you have 3 options.
(a) use 8bpp mode in MacOS,
(b) use 15b

You don't say whether this is with console or X11 mode.
If it happens in console mode, run molvconfig and select a differen

If you are running mol in full screen it might be that the particular

mol-drivers-macosx is in the non-free section. Add this to your
/etc/apt/sources.list, run apt-get update, and you should be fine.

Well, ypu're probably right that this is my problem. Neither command came up
with any matches. My question now is where can I get this package? I installed
off of the mirrors.kernel.org source tree. Where did you get your version of
mol?

I am running debian unstable on a tibook IV. For me, the OSX drivers are
in mol-drivers-macosx. Installing MOL defaults to installing the
mol-drivers-linux. Try looking for it using one of these commands:
$ dpkg -l mol-drivers-macosx
$ apt-cache search mol-drivers-macosx
Look at the man pages

Thanks, that worked -- at least I now have the necesssary modules.
MoL still won't load

Better use
deb http://people.debian.org/~jensen woody/
in your /etc/apt/sources.list for a MoL version which
works excellent.
