After a recent sid upgrade, I seem to have lost the ability to print from
some applications. I thought at first it was to do with postscript
printing because Firefox 0.82 (an older version which supports ps

I 'discovered' a way for Gnome to use my CUPS printer. Before, Gnome
applications would only print to lpr. I discovered I could replace lpr
with xpp to bring up a great printer interface -- works like a charm.

USB working for printing. Don't know if there are differences in SID.
I've Woody on G4 with benh-2.4.10-kernel, printing with CUPS (which I

Somehow I am need to manage it through Netatalk, because the second one,
Tektronix 740L, has awkward TCP/IP support, at least, it does not wo
t to it.

On the server there is no sign that a connection was attempted.
