Hi,
I have 777 folders in my library. In them there are usually some
`darktable-exported` folders that I do not want to import into darktable.
Thus instead of importing the whole `photos` folder recursively, I ctrl+A
all the 777 folders and import them.
This causes gnome-shell to crash and takes
ork/darktable-2.2.3/src/develop/masks.h,
line 324.

darktable version: 2.2.3 (binary package from FreeBSD rep
asn't just the binary package.
As you can't reproduce the behaviour, maybe I can help with diagnostics?
Please don't ask for the core file - I'm on a very slow line, it would take
ages...

It generates 3 report files in the picture folder: a log file, a list of ok

I'm building on a Debian "Buster" system, which uses exiv2 version
0.25. I have installed a newer version of exiv2, to take advantage of
its ability to identify lenses in a ~/.exiv2 file.
When I build darktable, it uses the system exiv2 from /usr, instead of
the newer version in /usr/local.
