Hi all. Before re-open my bug report from one year ago [1] I would like to hear your opinion on this.
Last year I had an old: exiv2 -V exiv2 0.24 001800 (64 bit build) ...which could not identify the lens correctly: LensType 2 0 34 16 0 16 The exiv data also has a name that was set by the camera: LensModel LEICA DG SUMMILUX 15/F1.7 The lens then also got a lensfun profile with the name: LEICA DG SUMMILUX 15/F1.7 Now, with my new exiv2 version 0.25 the lens is known as: LensType Leica DG Summilux 15mm F1.7 Asph. But, lensfun/DT doesn't automatically detect the lens anymore :-( I have to manually select it. I thought, lensfun/DT uses some fuzzy matching of the names? When I change the lensfun xml file (I just appended the " Asph." to the name), DTs lens autodetection works again. So... Should I open a bug report for DT about lens name matching? Or, should I open a report for lensfun to change the lens name? Any suggestions?
