Since darktable already knows the areas that are in focus
(http://www.darktable.org/2013/11/determining-focus-in-lighttable/) I
just wanted to drop the idea to have a parametric mask take focus into
consideration. This would allow for example to blur the background of a
picture more enhancing DoF effect, or brightening, darkening background
only without manual mask drawing.
