The basic difference between an MMSI issued by Boat/US and one from the FCC is
the availability of the data to search and rescue agencies. Boat/US share the
database of boat description, emergency contacts, persons on board, cell phones
aboard, etc. with the USCG. So if you make a distress call
issued radio license and MMSI ar both the legal and the safest thing
to do. Just my 2 cents.

not had the Tohatsu 9.9 on the boat for long enough to be positive about the

I’ve been at C&C rendezvous in Mystic and Chesapeake Bay, and I’m chartering a
boat to attend the PNW rendezvous in August. I’m even trying to arrange a get

the bow would act, to a certain extent, like a bridle to reduce the extent
the boat sails from side to side on the mooring.

That gives me storage space for the tails of 2 genoa and 2 spin halyards, the
vang, the Cunningham, and the main halyard. They also make passable back
cushions when lounging in the cockpit after sailing.

Unlike an Echo Charger, current flow is determined by voltage differential and
not limited by the ACR. Also unlike an Echo Charger, the current will flow
either way from high to low - an Echo Charger is a one way device.

ICW during retirement. And it sounds like the C&C center cockpit ketch might
be a possibility for him.
