For a few dollars you can get an abstract of title that will show owner information and financial transactions (like sale and financing) involving the boat. Might be information on the sale of Stardust when Teresa Barbero sold her, if there was a lien that needed to be cleared, but I doubt they have anything on file after the documentation lapsed in 1993. Probably worth a try, though.
