Hi, I am planning on adding a vertical windlass to my LF38 this summer. I was originally planning on going with a Lewmar V2 5/16” G4 gypsy-only, but I have just noticed that Maxwell windlasses are on sale at what looks like a great deal. Does anyone have experience with the Maxwell RC8-8?

Yes, you should use something like Nickel Anti-Seize. On the front of the 2QM15 there is a 3-way joint where a zinc plug screws into. This 3-way is no longer available from Yanmar (3-way joint (724070-0130). For galvanic protection, I would NOT use liquid gasket or lock tight.I research
